Cinnamon Apple oatmeal
Ingredients:
For the oats:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 scoop vanilla protein
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup nut milk
1/4 cup of water
1 tbsp almond butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
pinch of cinnamon
For the apples:
1 whole apple, sliced into cubes
1 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp of water
1 tsp cinnamon
How to make:
Add all the oatmeal ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and allow to cook while stirring occasionally for 5-10 minutes.
In a separate sauce pan, add the apples, maple syurp, water, and cinnamon and let the apples cook until the begins to boil. Turn down the heat and cook for another 5-10 minutes or until the apples are soft and fragrant. You may need to add more water if they become too sticky.
Serve oatmeal with apples, add an extra drizzle of maple syrup and top with hemp seeds.
